Residents across California will soon see changes to the way organic waste such as food scraps, yard trimmings, and more are disposed of and recycled!

SB1383, a statewide effort to reduce emissions of short-lived climate pollutants, will require all cities in California, including Lynwood, to reduce organic material waste and rescue surplus food sources. Homes and businesses will soon be required to sort organic waste separately from other trash.

The City of Lynwood has partnered with Waste Resources, Inc. to provide residents with new kitchen caddies for your convenience.

All residents will receive a 96-gallon, blue recycling cart to complement the new organics service.
